We strongly recommend you to do manual backups regularly, especially when you making updates or any major changes on your website. To do that you can install any popular plugins for that. For example All-in-One WP Migration plugin.
To create the backup, go to All-in-One WP Migration = > Export. Click on the place to backup (file is free).
